Happy 26th birthday dear..

This year's celebration is abit special compared to the past since our dearest had injured his leg while playing a soccer match.

He wanted to cancel the birthday celebration initially due to difficulties in walking but I am glad that he did not after realising that I had put in quite alot of effort to make it happen. Thank god that we were still able to celebrate cause we will never get into the similar fun if we had chosen to celebrate it at home instead.

The venue of the celebration was at one of the restaurant at Bishan Park called 'Cornerstone'. We had walk pass this restaurant several times during our strolls in the park and we always tell ourselves that ONE DAY... WE WILL HAVE TO MAKE SOME TIME FOR IT. The dress theme for the night was to dress up like Lionel Lee aka my HERO!

I'm not quite sure did everyone really put in effort in dressing up but I'm glad that at least Valerie had dressed up herself in shirt which is something that she seldom wears. For that, I awarded her a few Taka voucher for her braveness!

The food was alright. I'm giving it 7/10 for it cause it's not really that fantastic after having to wait for 30-45 mins for it. Ambience and environment was definitely a 9/10 especially when the pub was smack just right beside it.

Ok.. I shall let the pictures do the talking.

This year had been a great year except that the boyfriend had injured his leg. Other than that... many things had change for its best.

First was us getting a perm job, my sis getting married and moved into their new place then it was us getting a unit to call HOME in 5 yrs time. I'm really looking forward to it and so is the boyfriend. He's already looking out for good ID and searching snap shots on interior designs.

Moving forward, I am hoping that good things will fall on me and everyone around me will be happy and healthy. :)

Starhub Hong Kong TVB Award

When I first got to know that my dearest bestie won 2 tickets to the Starhub Hong Kong TVB award held at MBS, I swore I nearly fainted in the office. I remember myself in a meeting when she broke out this news and I nearly dashed out of room while fire fighting an issue at work. But well, I tried remaining calm and settled my stuff before packing up my laptop to hide myself in a room to call Xinyi.

She did not mentioned who she was bringing at first as she was also in the office hiding her excitement. I whatsapp her trying to dig out information on who she was going to bring and at last... she proclaimed that she's going to bring nobody else but me to this TVB award.

Just for your information, we both are SUPER crazy over HK drama. It's really wierd mentioning this cause many woman around our age would prefer Korean or Taiwan drama VS HK drama but we were just SPECIAL or perhaps.. MORE AUNTY! Hahah!

I don't know why but I somehow felt HK drama to be more realistic to our everyday life compared to korean and Taiwan drama where the focus more on.. idols.

So, on Saturday.. we got ourselves dressed at our very best for this event at MBS! Both Xinyi and I wore a pair of heels to the award night since it was held at MBS. We were super excited on that very day that we met at 4.30pm for a 7.30pm show. We rest our feet as we couldnt walk any further for the next 3 hours only to realise... THAT WE HAVE MISSED THE RED CARPET WALK! Grr... we should have just stayed at the red carpet entrance!!

The award started and both of us shouted and cheered for our HK actor and actress. I nearly teared when I saw my favourite actor.. 'Moses Chan' and actress ' Lydia Chung'. They were just so awesome! I kept smiling with joy for the next 2.5 hrs. I did not care about my poise or cool when it comes to rooting for my idol during the nominations review.

After 2.5hrs, it felt as though my favourite cartoon has ended. I was reluctant to leave the ballroom and even stand on the chair to have a 1 last view of my favourite actor and actresses before they bid farewell.

What a pity that I wasn't in the first few roles.. else I would have shook my idol's hand.

Here are some low quality photos of what I took that night. Pardon me for the low quality as I was using a point and shoot camera instead of a DSLR. :)

My Sister is finally MARRIED

Congratulation Jie Jie! I am really so glad that you have finally found the right man to spend your life with.
Having to share the same bed with her for 10 over years, I have seen/heard about all the guy friends she knew. Not many guys could suit her kind of taste till she met this particular guy who could make her CHANGE 360 degree.

She wasn't those sort who would do much cooking.. but guess what.. She's a total convert now. I don't know what and how my bro in law have done it, but I'm glad she have changed for the better.

In this wedding of hers, she have planned it very very well. Simple and grand are words which could easily describe her wedding. I shall not talk much about it but just let the pictures explains everything..

We woke up at 4.30am to have our last meal with my sister before she gets marry off. It's a chinese custom.

The day started with some gate crashing and tata.. KOR KOR AND JIE JIE with 2 cousins.

We left the bride's place and head over to the groom's place. We went for some photo taking before heading over...

Baby Kate snaping photo at the married couple. She's really cute and smart.

After the tea ceremony, we head back to our place for tea ceremony. Do we look alike?

The 3 noisy lady in the house.. Do we look alike?

The TAN family

Last shot before heading to Fullerton for the grand wedding!

Getting ourselves prepared..

Feeling nervous about the outcome..

TATA...

This is going to be one of our wedding montage in the future.

Sorry for not taking any photos of the actual wedding celebration as I was toooo busy running around and making my speech.

Here's something to end the post..

CONGRATULATION JIE JIE... and I WILL STILL LOVE YOU!!!

If this is your first time to HK, you definitely have to try this. However, please take note that you will have to queue for ~1 hr just to have a few bites of DIM SUM! Yes! It's simply a norm to just queue for this restaurant. If there is ever once that there is NO queue, I will say that you will be striking 4D very soon. I shall talk less now and let the photos speaks for itself..

Macaroni with ham. It's abit salty but still great! I'm not a fan of Macaroni but this is one which I have finished the whole plate.
Bread and Chao Tan. It's a full set with the Macaroni
My must have in HK. Why can't Singapore sell such standards?
Love the ice milk tea too.. I am missing HK now!

We walk around the whole afternoon and got hungry again. That's when we decided to give YOSHINOYA in HK a try...
It did NOT disappoint us at all. It's 10 times much better than Singapore. It's definitely a must try fast food.
This is one stall which we randomly found that sell very nice egg balls.
I guess we had too much food and walking that day that I felt sick. :( Darling made his way down to get macdonalds while I stayed on the bed, nursing myself with panadols and water.

Day 6 was a shopping day for me at Harbourcity, Langham and mongkok. Shopping at Hong kong is really fun but there are some clothes that cost really expensive. I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely head back again.

We had a great lunch at
